This premium blueprint turns any motion sensor + smart light pair into a hands-free, adaptive night light that is gentle at 3am and bright during the evening — all running 100% locally in Home Assistant, no cloud required.

What it does

Triggers on motion and fades the light up smoothly (configurable transition).
Adapts target brightness by time of day (evening vs. overnight).
Auto-off after a no-motion timeout you choose.
Optional "do not turn on if already on" and sun-elevation guard.

What you need

Home Assistant 2024.4 or newer (local install).
Any binary_sensor motion entity and any dimmable light entity.
